Art & Graphics Teacher

We are looking for an Art & Graphics Teacher in a school which offers outstanding opportunities for professional development. Twyford Church of England High School, an Ofsted outstanding school with a thriving Sixth Form, is one of four Twyford Trust schools, and the new post-holder will be joining us at a time of growth. The Trust offers excellent promotion prospects for motivated and energetic teachers who support the ethos of our schools. The post is well suited to both qualified teachers and those in their NQT year.

The Art Department at Twyford School offers a diverse programme of creative study from KS3 – KS5. At KS3 Art is taught to all students in Years 7 and 8. The students learn skills in the formal elements, and experience with a range of media. In Year 9 students choose Art or Graphics Communication as an elective, this is designed to give them a more diverse experience and provides them with skills to prepare them for GCSE and A Level. Art and Graphics is very popular at KS4 and achieves outstanding results. At A Level students are able to combine or select Fine Art, Graphics Communication and Photography. All three specialisms achieve outstanding results with a large percentage of students continuing to Art Foundation or onto a creative degree. The Art department strive to create a learning environment that allows students to express themselves whilst fulfilling the requirements to reach their creative potential.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
