We are seeking experienced Artic Flat Trailer Drivers to join our team at Hannon Steel. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and a reliable work ethic to support our Steel operations across Ireland. The current base location for this role is Nutts Corner.

Duties and Responsibilities

Transport Operations

  • Operate articulated (CE) vehicles on assigned routes.
  • Safely transport goods across designated routes within Ireland.
  • Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Follow planned routes and transport schedules.

Vehicle & Safety Compliance

  • Conduct pre-journey walk-around vehicle inspections.
  • Report defects or maintenance issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with driver hours legislation and tachograph regulations.
  • Adhere to all company policies and road transport regulations.

Customer Service & Communication

  • Provide professional and courteous service at delivery and collection points.
  • Complete delivery documentation accurately and return paperwork on time.
  • Communicate any delays, incidents, or operational issues to management promptly

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

Essential

  • Valid CE Driving Licence.
  • CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
  • Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

Desirable

  • Previous experience driving articulated vehicles.
  • Knowledge of Irish road networks.
  • Experience in multi-drop or scheduled delivery operations.
  • Previous Experience in Steel Transportation
