What We're Looking For

Murphy is looking for a depot-based Artic low loader Driver manoeuvring heavy plant machinery.

What Your Day Will Look Like

  • Operate Artic: Safely operate a lorry to load, unload, and transport various types of goods, including building materials, heavy plant and machinery.
  • Vehicle Safety & Maintenance: Ensure that the vehicle and equipment are maintained in good working order, reporting any issues or defects promptly. Perform daily checks on the vehicle and Artic before starting work.
  • Route Planning & Navigation: Plan routes and schedule deliveries effectively to meet deadlines while considering traffic conditions, road restrictions, and vehicle size limits.
  • Load Securing: Ensure that all loads are secured properly and safely, following the relevant load-securing guidelines to prevent damage or accidents during transit.
  • Compliance with Regulations: Adhere to all legal requirements, including driving regulations (tachograph), safety guidelines, and site-specific health and safety protocols.
  • Documentation & Paperwork: Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery notes, delivery logs, and vehicle inspection forms. Ensure all documentation is signed by customers upon delivery.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide a professional and courteous service when interacting with customers, drivers, and site staff, maintaining a positive company image.
  • Site Health & Safety: Conduct site risk assessments to ensure the safety of yourself, your colleagues, and any members of the public. Follow safe practices when operating the crane and managing the delivery.
