AI & Machine Learning Engineer (Multiple Levels Available)

London (Hybrid) - Python, SQL - TensorFlow - PyTorch - Azure, AWS & GCP - Up to £75,000 + Benefits

You Will Work With

  • Building and deploying AI and Machine Learning solutions in production environments.
  • Designing end-to-end AI and ML pipelines, from data acquisition and feature engineering through to deployment and optimisation.
  • Developing scalable machine learning platforms, frameworks and engineering solutions.
  • Training, evaluating, tuning and deploying machine learning models.
  • Cloud-native AI and data services across Azure, AWS and GCP.
  • MLOps tools and best practices for deployment, monitoring, governance and model lifecycle management.
  • Structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Generative AI, LLM and advanced analytics solutions.
  • Designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines, datasets and automated workflows.
  • Collaborating directly with stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate requirements into AI-driven solutions.
  • Working closely with technical and non-technical teams throughout project delivery.
  • Agile software development methodologies and cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Researching and adopting emerging AI technologies to drive innovation and business value.

Key Experience

  • Commercial experience building and deploying AI or Machine Learning solutions.
  • Strong Python and SQL development skills.
  • Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn or similar ML frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, model development and deployment practices.
  • Experience working with Azure, AWS or GCP cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of data engineering concepts, including ETL processes, data pipelines and automated workflows.
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data.
  • Understanding of MLOps tooling and machine learning lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security and compliance principles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders and translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.

Desirable Experience

  • Generative AI solutions.
  • Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • LangChain or similar AI orchestration frameworks.
  • Spark, Hadoop or other big data technologies.
  • Distributed computing, streaming platforms and workflow orchestration tools.
  • Experience monitoring, maintaining and optimising models in production environments.

Security Clearance Requirement

Due to the nature of the projects being delivered, candidates must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC). To be eligible, you will typically need to have:

  • Lived in the UK for the last 5 years continuously.
  • The right to work in the UK.
  • No factors that would prevent successful clearance approval.
  • Previous SC Clearance is advantageous but not essential.
