Job Title: AI Innovation Engineer

Location: Manchester, UK

Experience: 5–8 Years

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced AI Innovation Engineer to bridge the gap between research and production. You will take AI prototypes, machine learning models, and validated concepts from R&D and transform them into scalable, reliable, and production-ready solutions.

Working closely with AI researchers, product managers, data analysts, and engineering teams, you will build and operate real-time AI-powered systems while maintaining high standards for software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transform AI prototypes and research concepts into production-grade applications.
  • Design, build, deploy, and maintain AI-driven systems that are scalable, secure, observable, and reliable.
  • Develop and operate real-time personalization, recommendation, search, and ranking systems within defined latency requirements.
  • Build and support LLM-powered applications and other AI/ML-driven products.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), monitoring, and automated testing.
  • Ensure production systems meet performance, reliability, scalability, and security standards.
  • Measure, monitor, and improve AI model performance using experimentation and data-driven approaches.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Product, Data Analytics, and Engineering.
  • Drive engineering best practices, code quality, observability, and operational excellence across AI solutions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
