Lead Microsoft AI Automation Engineer

Location: Hybrid (Swindon or London) Salary: £75,000 - £85,000

About the Role I’m seeking an exceptional Lead Microsoft AI Engineer to shape and deliver the next-generation of automation within a large, regulated enterprise.

You’ll blend hands-on software engineering with technical leadership, designing and building production-grade AI agents, automation solutions, and reusable engineering patterns that revolutionise how our business operates.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver enterprise-grade agentic AI solutions using Microsoft Copilot Foundry and Azure AI technologies.
  • Build intelligent automation with Power Automate, AI Builder, and the broader Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Create multi-agent workflows, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, and AI-assisted business processes.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing engineering team, driving excellence through code reviews, testing, observability, and best practices.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and help shape our organisation’s future automation strategy.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
