AI Engineer
Location: London, UK (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite)
Contract: 12 Months
Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days per week from the client's Central London office)
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced AI Engineer with a strong background in Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and MLOps to join a leading client in London. You will design, build, and deploy scalable AI solutions using modern GenAI frameworks and cloud technologies while collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex business problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML and Generative AI applications.
- Build and optimize LLM-powered applications using RAG architectures and vector databases.
- Develop AI agents and intelligent automation solutions.
- Build scalable APIs using FastAPI or similar frameworks.
- Develop and maintain MLOps pipelines, CI/CD workflows, and model deployment processes.
- Work with large datasets using SQL, Spark, and cloud-native platforms.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Product Managers, and UI/UX teams.
- Translate business requirements into AI-driven solutions.
- Monitor and optimize production AI models and services.
- Present technical findings to both technical and business stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in AI/ML, MLOps, Data Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- Strong experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Excellent Python programming skills.
- Experience with FastAPI, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Embeddings
- Vector Databases
- Foundation Models
- Agentic AI
- Model Context Protocol (MCP)
- Experience with OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or similar LLM APIs.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and distributed data platforms (Spark).
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or hybrid cloud environments.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD, and MLOps best practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

Mandatory Requirement
- Able to work 3 days per week onsite from the client's office in Central London.
