Position: AI Engineer
Location: Chester, UK
Job Type: Hybrid (3 Days Onsite)
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy enterprise-grade AI applications. The ideal candidate will have strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience building applications using Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, and cloud-based AI services. Experience within Banking or Financial Services is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop AI-powered applications using Large Language Models.
- Build scalable RAG pipelines using vector databases.
- Develop AI agents and workflow automation solutions.
- Integrate OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or Gemini APIs.
- Create prompt engineering strategies and evaluation frameworks.
- Develop REST APIs and microservices to expose AI capabilities.
- Work closely with Data Engineering and Cloud teams.
- Implement secure, responsible AI practices.
- Monitor model performance and optimize latency and cost.
- Participate in architecture discussions and code reviews.

Vector Databases: Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, Milvus, FAISS, pgvector
Cloud: Azure, AWS
DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins
