Contract Senior AI / Data Scientist (LLMs & Generative AI)
£500 per day | Inside IR35 | 3 Month Rolling Contract | Fully Remote (UK Based)
We're supporting a leading UK energy supplier on an exciting AI programme and are looking for two Senior AI / Data Scientists to help deliver a cutting-edge Generative AI solution that will improve the accuracy and efficiency of the organisation's back-billing process.
This is an opportunity to work on a high-impact project, applying advanced machine learning and Large Language Models (LLMs) to solve complex customer-focused challenges using structured, unstructured and time-series data.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop and deploy advanced machine learning models to support customer decision-making.
- Apply supervised and unsupervised learning techniques across structured, unstructured and temporal datasets.
- Leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) to analyse customer interactions, including call transcripts, emails and digital touchpoints.
- Build AI solutions focused on sentiment analysis, topic modelling and customer intent classification.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand challenges and translate them into scalable AI solutions.
- Present technical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Skills & Experience
- Proven commercial experience as a Senior AI Engineer or Senior Data Scientist.
- Strong experience applying advanced machine learning techniques to structured and unstructured datasets.
- Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), particularly around sentiment analysis, topic modelling or customer intent classification.
- Strong Python skills including Scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy and SciPy.
- Excellent SQL skills, ideally within a Databricks environment.
- Experience working with customer interaction data such as call logs, emails, chat or web activity.
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
- Comfortable working directly with business users to deliver practical, data-driven solutions.
