AI Automation Engineer | London (2 Days) | Up to £100k + Benefits
I'm working with a high-growth global technology business that is investing heavily in AI and automation to transform operational efficiency across critical business functions.
They're looking for an AI Automation Engineer to join a fast-paced team focused on building intelligent tools, workflow automations, and AI-powered solutions that solve real-world operational challenges and reduce manual effort at scale.
What you'll do
- Build and deploy AI-powered tools and workflow automations using modern development and LLM technologies
- Design end-to-end solutions that connect APIs, internal systems, document stores, and AI models
- Develop analyst-facing applications, productivity tools, and decision-support solutions
- Work closely with business stakeholders to identify pain points and rapidly deliver impactful solutions
- Apply LLMs for use cases such as summarisation, classification, information extraction, and workflow optimisation

What you'll need
- Commercial experience building automation tools, AI applications, or software solutions
- Strong Python development skills
- Experience integrating and working with APIs
- Familiarity with LLMs and modern AI platforms (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, etc.)
- Ability to translate business challenges into practical technical solutions
- A proactive mindset with a strong bias towards delivery and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have
- Experience with automation platforms such as n8n, Zapier, or Make
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools including Cursor, Copilot, or Claude Code
- Knowledge of SQL, Git, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience building internal productivity tools or operational workflows
- Exposure to fintech, payments, risk, compliance, or regulated environments
