AI Engineer
Location: Northwich (Hybrid)
Salary: £75,000 - £85,000
We are supporting a well-established software business that is looking to appoint an experienced AI Engineer to help drive the adoption and integration of AI technologies across their products and processes.
This is a newly focused AI position where you will have the opportunity to identify practical applications of AI, develop solutions, and work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver meaningful improvements.
The successful candidate will have a strong technical background and the ability to bridge the gap between AI capabilities and real-world business requirements. You will be involved across the full lifecycle of AI initiatives, from exploring opportunities and prototyping solutions through to integration, testing, and ongoing optimisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities where AI can improve products, processes, and operational efficiency
- Design, develop, and prototype AI-driven solutions
- Integrate AI models, tools, and services into existing software platforms
- Support the implementation and improvement of AI capabilities
- Test, evaluate, and optimise AI outputs and performance
- Work alongside software engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders
- Translate business requirements into effective AI solutions
- Troubleshoot technical issues and support continuous improvement
- Maintain documentation relating to AI solutions, integrations, and processes

Skills & Experience:
- Commercial experience working with AI technologies, machine learning, or related solutions
- Strong programming skills, particularly with Python
- Experience integrating AI models, APIs, or automation solutions
- Understanding of AI/ML frameworks and modern AI development practices
- Experience working with cloud technologies (Azure experience beneficial)
- Strong software engineering understanding and experience working with system integrations
- Ability to analyse problems, test solutions, and improve performance
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams

Desirable:
- Experience with data processing and management tools
- Familiarity with ML frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch
- Experience deploying AI solutions into production environments
This is an excellent opportunity for an AI Engineer who wants to take ownership of AI initiatives and play a key role in shaping how AI is applied within an established technology environment.
Hybrid working available from the Northwich office. Applicants must be UK based and live in a realistic commutable location from Northwich.
