Artwork Pre Flight Administrator

We have an exciting opportunity for an Artwork Pre Flight Administrator.

Location: Graphic Brands, Ossett, UK
Position type: Full time, Permanent
Working hours: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm

Role Overview

We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Artwork Pre-Press Administrator to join our Graphics Brands team in Wakefield. The successful candidate will play a key role in onboarding customer artwork files for commercial print production, ensuring all supplied designs meet the required specifications before entering the production process.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with Adobe Illustrator experience who has strong communication skills and an interest in the print industry. Basic print knowledge would be advantageous; however, full training will be provided.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Receive, review and check customer-supplied digital design files to ensure they meet commercial print production specifications.
  • Identify and communicate any artwork issues or amendments required prior to production.
  • Populate and maintain the internal job management system with relevant information, including design references, colour specifications and job details.
  • Liaise with external Graphic Service Providers regarding artwork requirements and amendments.
  • Work closely with internal Customer Service Executives to ensure accurate and timely processing of customer orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of artwork files and job information.
  • Support the Graphics Hub team in ensuring artwork is processed efficiently and to agreed service levels.
  • Follow company procedures and quality standards throughout the artwork approval process.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience using Adobe Illustrator
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organisational and administrative skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Competent IT skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Basic knowledge of commercial print production processes - advantageous but not essential
  • Previous experience in a print, graphic arts or artwork administration environment - advantageous but not essential
