Marie Curie: Dementia Awareness, Training & Advance Care Planning Project Co-ordinator (Cardiff & Vale)

Company Description

Marie Curie is the UK’s leading end-of-life charity. We are the largest non-NHS provider of end-of-life care in the UK, delivering:

  • Community nursing and hospice care across all four UK nations
  • Information and support on dying, death, and bereavement
  • Research pushing boundaries to improve quality of life for those facing terminal illnesses

Currently, only 10% of dying people receive the care they need, leaving one in four terminally ill individuals unsupported. Over the next five years, our mission is to eliminate this gap through:

  • Growing and transforming direct care
  • Delivering practical support and information
  • Shaping the future of end-of-life experiences

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Marie Curie is recruiting experienced professionals for a non-traditional, project-based role within the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. This is a fixed-term, 9-month position designed to:

✔ Design, develop, and deliver dementia awareness training for non-clinical staff ✔ Support advance care planning conversations by fostering shared understanding ✔ Act as an ambassador for Marie Curie’s dementia and palliative care work ✔ Attend events and conferences, presenting best practice ✔ Advocate for improved dementia care across Wales

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
