Essential work. Trusted expertise. Done properly — every time.
Let’s be clear — asbestos analysis isn’t just about samples, air tests and paperwork.
It’s about protecting people, helping projects move forward safely, and providing clients with results they can trust.
At Lucion, we don’t see asbestos work as a box-ticking exercise. We deliver accurate, reliable analytical services that help clients understand risk and make informed decisions — protecting people, buildings and communities across the UK.
We’re a purpose-driven, beyond-net-zero business operating across multiple sectors worldwide, and we take pride in combining technical expertise with a professional, people-focused approach.
We’re currently looking for an Asbestos Analyst to join our Hazardous Materials team in Birmingham. This is a field-based role where your knowledge, attention to detail and judgement will play a key part in delivering safe, compliant outcomes for our clients.
If you care about quality, accuracy and doing things the right way, you’ll feel at home here.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
