Asbestos Consultant / Senior Asbestos Consultant

Asbestos Analyst / Surveyor

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Asbestos Analyst/Surveyor to support a growing portfolio of projects across Scotland and beyond.

As an Asbestos Analyst/Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality asbestos surveying and analytical services across commercial, industrial, and public-sector environments. Working within an established technical team, your duties will include:

  • Supporting the safe management and removal of asbestos
  • Compliance with current legislation, industry standards, and best practice

This role involves working on diverse and technically challenging assignments, including government and secure-sector contracts. You’ll develop strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders while gaining exposure to varied and complex projects.

Technical Surveying & Analytical Expertise

  • Deliver asbestos surveys, air monitoring, and analytical services to a high technical standard
  • Perform 4-stage clearance, reassurance, background, leak tests, and personal air sampling
  • Assess asbestos-containing materials and provide practical risk management recommendations

Site Monitoring & Compliance

  • Monitor asbestos removal activities to ensure compliance with legislation and approved procedures
  • Promote safe working practices across client and contractor environments
  • Maintain high standards of reporting, accuracy, and compliance

Client & Stakeholder Communication

  • Build strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams
  • Provide clear technical guidance and consulting updates throughout projects
  • Produce concise, structured, and comprehensive technical reports

Collaboration & Flexibility

  • Work independently and collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams
  • Adapt to changing project demands and varying site conditions
  • Engage in regional, national, and international travel (occasional) as required

Professional Standards & Integrity

  • Demonstrate strong work ethic, precision, and commitment to health & safety
  • Meet security clearance requirements for secure-sector projects
  • Maintain high ethical standards across client and operations interactions

Training, Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Active BOHSCert P402, P403, and P404 qualifications (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in asbestos surveying and analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Working Environment

  • Location: Based in Scotland
  • Hybrid work arrangement available, depending on project requirements
  • Projects may require regular travel (including occasional national/international assignments)
