Location: Newcastle and North East
Package: up to £40000 (DOE) plus vehicle and excellent company benefits

About The Role
We are seeking a competent and versatile Asbestos Analyst & Surveyor to undertake both surveying and analytical duties across a range of client sites.
This dual-role position involves conducting asbestos surveys, air monitoring, and 4-stage clearances, ensuring all activities are completed in line with UK legislation, industry guidance, and accreditation requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Undertake asbestos building surveys and bulk sampling in accordance with HSG264 and our in-house procedures.
- Undertake daily site risk assessment.
- Ensure all samples are returned to the lab in sufficient timescales with completed associated sample receipt.
- Record accurate sample information on sample bags.
- Ensure all samples are bagged and labelled to correct Company procedure.
- Undertake all aspects of asbestos air monitoring in accordance with HSG248 and our in-house procedures.
- Conducting visual inspections and 4 Stage Clearance Procedures.
- Overseeing asbestos remediation projects.
- Undertake monthly quality control checks.
- Complete all daily Company equipment and methodology checks ensuring all equipment is within calibration dates.
- Undertake weekly tablet checks to ensure relevant software is up to date.
- Complete all site work on issued tablet, recording accurate data within the relevant software. Including a daily diary sheet for any Air Monitoring tasks.
- Conduct daily data transfers to ensure completed work is transferred back to the office.
- Quality check survey reports as required.

Essential Requirements
- BOHS P402 Surveying and Strategies for Asbestos in Buildings
- BOHS P403 Air Sampling and Fibre Counting (PCM)
- BOHS P404 Clearance Testing and the Requirements for Certificate of Reoccupation
Or
- RSPH Level 3 Award in Asbestos Surveying
- RSPH Level 3 Award in Asbestos Air Monitoring and Clearance Procedures
Experience & Qualifications
- BOHS P405 (Management of Asbestos in Buildings)
- Experience within a UKAS accredited organisation
- Strong report writing and IT skills
- Experience working across a variety of sectors (commercial, industrial, domestic)
- Full driving licence and availability to travel across region
