Penguin Recruitment is supporting a well-established UKAS-accredited asbestos consultancy based in Birmingham as they seek a dual-qualified professional.

This excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join in Birmingham, working across commercial, industrial, and public sector sites. This role delivers a varied workload, job security, and genuine long-term career progression in a supportive work environment.

As the Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst, you will perform a balanced mix of surveying and analytical tasks, ensuring high-quality asbestos services compliance with current legislation and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys
  • Conducting air monitoring, including 4-stage clearances and reoccupation certification
  • Performing bulk sampling while adhering to company procedures
  • Generating accurate asbestos reports following HSG264 and HSG248 guidance
  • Managing workloads across multiple client sites
  • Facilitating communication with clients, contractors, and internal teams
  • Ensuring high health & safety and quality assurance standards

Requirements

For consideration for this role, prospective candidates must:

  • Hold BOHS P402, P403, and P404 qualifications (essential)
  • Possess a full UK driving licence
  • Have previous experience in a dual Surveyor / Analyst role
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of asbestos legislation and compliance requirements
  • Exhibit a professional, organised, and reliable approach to work
  • Showcase excellent communication and client-facing skills
