Asbestos Operations & Commercial Manager

Location: Kent
Salary: Up to £60,000

We are working with a growing environmental consultancy seeking an Asbestos Operations & Commercial Manager to lead daily operations while driving business growth. This varied role combines operational leadership with business development, including securing new contracts, managing key client relationships, and expanding existing accounts. It's an excellent opportunity to join a reputable consultancy with a strong portfolio of commercial and housing contracts and play a key role in its continued growth within the asbestos industry.

The role:

  • Lead and support the company's operations, maintaining high levels of performance, quality, and compliance
  • Drive business development by securing new clients, winning contracts, and growing existing accounts
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships across commercial, housing, and public sector markets
  • Prepare tenders, quotations, and negotiate contracts while ensuring excellent service delivery
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing contracts and increase revenue through additional services
  • Ensure compliance with HSE guidance and asbestos legislation while supporting the company's strategic growth plans.

We’re looking for:

  • Proven experience within the asbestos industry in an operational, commercial, or management capacity.
  • Strong understanding of asbestos surveying and industry regulations.
  • Demonstrable experience in business development, account management, and winning new contracts.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify growth opportunities.
  • Experience managing teams and overseeing operational performance.
