Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 DOE
A well-established compliance and environmental services provider is seeking experienced Asbestos Surveyors to join their growing team across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to work within a professional, quality-driven environment that prioritises safety, technical excellence, and career development.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a range of asbestos surveying and compliance services across commercial, industrial, and residential environments, ensuring all work is completed in line with current HSE legislation, UKAS standards, and internal quality procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Surveying & Technical Delivery
- Conduct asbestos management, refurbishment, and demolition surveys across a variety of property types.
- Produce accurate survey reports, site plans, and supporting documentation within agreed timescales.
- Carry out quality checks on survey reports and rectify discrepancies where required.
- Maintain clear communication with clients before, during, and after surveys.
- Complete site-specific RAMS and identify any associated health & safety risks.
- Ensure all equipment and materials are prepared and maintained for safe project delivery.
- Interpret survey scopes and client requirements accurately to ensure successful project completion.
- Collect and return all relevant site and laboratory paperwork in a timely manner.
- Identify damaged ACMs on site and communicate recommendations for remedial actions where necessary.
- Support and mentor trainee or junior surveyors through on-site guidance and best practice.

Client Support & Business Development
- Provide clients with guidance regarding asbestos management and compliance obligations.
- Identify opportunities to promote additional company services including air monitoring, training, and asbestos management plans.
- Attend client meetings, pre-start meetings, and occasional site inspections.
- Promote company services and assist in generating new business opportunities.
Additional Compliance & Consultancy Services
- Assist with asbestos in soils and WAC testing projects.
- Support delivery of additional environmental testing services where required.
- Deliver asbestos awareness and non-licensed asbestos training courses.
- Assist clients with the development and implementation of compliant Asbestos Management Plans (AMPs).
- Produce Priority Risk Assessments and support asbestos management audits.
- Assist with internal quality audits and ongoing UKAS compliance requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the technical and quality teams.

Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor.
- Strong understanding of current asbestos legislation and HSE guidance.
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Experience using industry reporting systems and mobile technology.
- Additional competencies such as IPAF, PASMA, or Confined Space training would be advantageous.
