Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst (Dual-Trained)
Essential work. Trusted expertise. Done properly — every time.
Location: Glasgow & Central Belt
Job Type: Full-time, Field-based
Let’s be upfront — asbestos surveying and analysis isn’t light work. But it is important, highly skilled, and makes a genuine difference to people’s safety every single day.
At Lucion, we don’t approach asbestos work as a tick-box exercise. We deliver accurate, defensible surveys and analytical services that clients rely on to manage risk properly — protecting people, buildings and projects across the UK.
We’re a purpose-driven, beyond-net-zero business working across multiple sectors worldwide. We take pride in combining technical excellence with a calm, professional approach and delivering work that makes a real difference.
We’re currently looking for an experienced Dual-Trained Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join our Hazardous Materials team, supporting projects across Glasgow and the Central Belt.
If you value quality, accuracy and doing things the right way, you’ll feel at home here.
What You’ll Be Doing
This is a varied, hands-on role where your expertise directly supports safer buildings and better decision-making.
You’ll:
- Carry out asbestos surveys and inspections, including management, refurbishment, demolition and asbestos in the ground surveys.
- Undertake air monitoring, airborne fibre counting and 4-stage clearance testing.
- Inspect contractor remediation works and complete clearance inspections, ensuring works meet required standards.
- Collect accurate site data using digital systems and produce high-quality reports.
- Work in line with asbestos legislation and guidance, including HSG248 and HSG264.
- Maintain QHSE documentation and follow internal assurance processes.
- Provide professional technical advice to clients and site teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
