Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor
Location: Nottingham
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established environmental consultancy in their search for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join their team covering Nottingham and the wider East Midlands.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor looking to join a stable consultancy offering a structured workload, strong operational support, and a consistent pipeline of work across domestic and commercial properties. The successful candidate will benefit from long-term career stability within a supportive and well-organised team.
THE ROLE
As an Asbestos Surveyor, you will carry out asbestos surveys across a diverse portfolio of domestic and commercial properties throughout the East Midlands.

Working independently and as part of an experienced team, you will deliver high-quality surveying services while ensuring full compliance with current legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering Management, Refurbishment and Demolition (R and D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264
- Working across a range of domestic and commercial properties
- Conducting bulk asbestos sampling in accordance with company procedures
- Producing accurate and compliant asbestos survey reports
- Managing your own diary and workload effectively
- Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams
- Ensuring all work complies with current legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures
What We're Looking For
- BOHS P402 qualification (or equivalent)
- Previous experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor within a UKAS-accredited consultancy
- Strong understanding of asbestos legislation and compliance requirements
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills
- Professional, reliable, and quality-focused approach to work
