ASD Teacher – Cambridge – September start

Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? A welcoming and well-resourced specialist SEND school in Cambridge is seeking an enthusiastic ASD Teacher to join their team on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis. ASD Teacher – What the School Offers

• Full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity • Competitive daily rate paid weekly (£194.21 - £258.85 per day) • Small class sizes and excellent staff-to-pupil ratios • Specialist SEND training and ongoing CPD • Supportive leadership team and multidisciplinary support staff

ASD Teacher – The Role

• Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to secondary-aged students with ASD • Create structured learning environments that support communication, engagement, and independence • Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of learning profiles and abilities • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, Therapists, and families to support student progress • Promote positive outcomes both academically and socially

ASD Teacher – What the School is Looking For

The ideal ASD Teacher will hold QTS and have experience working with students with Autism and additional SEND needs. Applications are also welcomed from teachers with mainstream secondary experience who have a genuine interest in transitioning into specialist education.

The school is seeking a patient, reflective, and adaptable practitioner who understands the importance of routine, consistency, and relationship-building when supporting autistic learners. Experience within a SEND school, ARP, specialist provision, or inclusive mainstream setting would be highly advantageous.
