Aspiring Speech and Language Assistant – Richmond – September

Responsibilities
As an Aspiring Speech and Language Assistant, you will:
- Provide targeted support for pupils with speech, language and communication needs, both in class and through small-group interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers, the SEND department and external professionals to help pupils achieve positive outcomes.
- Support pupils with additional needs, including those with SEND; around 10% receive SEN Support and approximately 7% have an EHCP.
Requirements
The successful Aspiring Speech and Language Assistant will have:
- A degree in Psychology, Linguistics, Education or a related subject.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND, autism or communication needs is highly desirable.
