ASP.NET WebForms Software Developer (VB.NET/Azure) - Remote (UK)

Join an Employee-Owned Software Company

We're looking for an experienced ASP.NET WebForms Software Developer to join our development team at Pillar Software Ltd.

This is a fully remote role where you'll play a key part in enhancing and maintaining our established ASP.NET WebForms applications while contributing to new development and cloud-based solutions. If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, working independently and collaborating with an experienced team, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the ongoing enhancement and development of our ASP.NET WebForms applications
  • Design, develop, test and maintain high-quality software solutions
  • Build and maintain APIs and integrations
  • Develop and support Microsoft Azure cloud-based solutions
  • Write test plans to ensure software quality
  • Provide technical expertise and occasional second-line support for escalated Helpdesk issues
  • Collaborate with colleagues across development, support and project teams
  • Contribute ideas to improve products, processes and customer solutions
  • Opportunity to broaden your skills by working with our wider development team and additional technology stacks

We're looking for candidates with 4+ years' commercial experience in:

  • VB.NET
  • ASP.NET WebForms
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Microsoft Azure cloud solutions
  • API development and maintenance
  • Software test planning

Desirable Skills

Experience with any of the following would be an advantage:

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: £38,500–£60,000 per annum (depending on experience)
  • We offer an excellent benefits package, including: 🏡 100% remote working (UK) ⏰ Flexible working hours (Flexitime) 🌴 27 days annual leave plus UK Bank Holidays 💷 Potential Tax-free Employee Ownership bonus (up to £3,600 per year, with potential for additional taxable bonuses) 🤝 Employee Ownership after six months' continuous service 📈 Long-term career development opportunities 💻 Supportive, collaborative development team 🏢 Established UK software company founded in 1994 📅 This role is for 37.5hrs per week; we will, however, accept applications for those wishing to work 30hrs (or above) per week
