Location: Batley, West Yorkshire

Salary: £12.71 per hour

Hours of work: 39 hours per week, Mon - Thurs (6am-4:15pm)

Main purpose of the role

Working as part of a Manufacturing Team, that delivers comfort solutions through a range of quality furniture products. The assembler, reporting to the Production Manager, will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing team carrying out a variety of roles in the production process. Working in a fast-paced production environment ensuring targets and deadlines are met and outputs meet the quality standards and product specifications.

Key responsibilities:

  • Complying with Health and Safety procedures as set out in the company’s Health and Safety policy.
  • Ensuring good housekeeping is maintained at all times.
  • Support overtime within the business when needed.
  • Use of air compressed hand tools.
  • Assembly of furniture using various hand tools.
  • Assembly of action mechanisms and attaching motors.
  • Building action mechanisms and attaching electrical operating systems.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks to assist in modern furniture production.

Position requirements/Qualifications:

  • Previous experience of working in a modern furniture production role.
  • Competent in using a variety of hand tools.

  • Accomplishes goals independently, with little need for supervision.
  • Takes ownership and accountability for own performance.
