Position Summary

As an Assembler II working through a recruitment agency, you will contribute to Advanced Energy’s NPI team. Your role involves performing electronic assembly operations on components or subassemblies—often without drawings—while assembling devices, subassemblies, and chassis to meet production deadlines and quality standards. Tasks are structured yet dynamic, with daily workloads varying by assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Uses Operational Method Sheets, drawings, schematics, electronic assembly equipment, and verbal/written instructions to assemble, modify, rework, or reassemble units.
  • Performs semi-routine tasks, ensuring quick identification of nonconformities.
  • Communicates professionally to support effective teamwork.
  • Adheres to safety protocols and ISO practices/procedures.
  • Maintains fixtures, conducts calibration, preventative, and corrective maintenance.
  • May assist in training AE employees in established processes.
  • Travel may be required as part of the role.
  • Evaluates decisions based on their impact on customer quality.

Qualifications

  • Works with limited supervision and contributes to corrective actions.
  • Assists in training new employees in established procedures.
  • Ensures tasks are completed accurately and fully.
  • Demonstrates cross-training flexibility across multiple product platforms.
  • Proactively improves processes, lead times, through-put, and cost.
  • Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts required.
  • Competent basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook) and AE-specific systems like Zeus.
  • Basic familiarity with core SAP applications, ECO (Engineering Change Orders), and DMR (Design/Materials Release).
  • Minimum 1 year of electro-mechanical assembly experience (or equivalent).
