Assembly & Test Operative
working in our Fabrication Department at the Gillingham site
(39 hours per week - Monday to Thursday 8am to 4:30pm/Friday 8am to 3:30pm)
Whose main responsibilities are:
- Completion of assembly and testing to agreed Inspection and test plans and programs
- Accurate interpretation of Standard operating procedure requirements
- Accurate calculation of results of testing against SOPs and data logging of same.
- Accurate translation of assembly drawings
- Effective communication of test methods / results with both external inspectors and customers during factory acceptance testing
- Performing routine equipment checks and maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment

The candidate must have:
- A sound mechanical engineering background
- Proven experience of assembly of mechanical components
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A hands on and proactive approach
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience with Microsoft applications
