Assembly Operative
Northampton| £12.75 per hour | Mon-Fri (7am-3:30pm)
Do you enjoy hands-on work and take pride in producing high-quality finished parts? Are you practical, detail-focused, and comfortable working with tools in a manufacturing environment?
We're recruiting for a Assembly Operative to join a well-established and growing metal manufacturer. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
What You'll Be Doing
Cleaning and smoothing edges of manufactured components Removing burrs, sharp edges, slag, and residues from metal parts Using hand tools, grinders, files, and finishing equipment Operating bead blasting equipment Preparing components by masking or protecting critical areas Inspecting parts before and after finishing processes Working from drawings and specific finishing instructions Maintaining a clean and organised work area Working in line with company quality and safety standards

What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a manufacturing role is beneficial but not essential Comfortable using hand tools or power tools Strong attention to detail and quality Good practical skills and manual dexterity Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious Comfortable working within a production environment A driver's licence and own vehicle are essential
