Hours: Monday – Friday, 07:30 – 17:00

Join Our Assembly Team
Conquip Engineering Group is seeking a reliable and diligent Assembly Operative to join our busy manufacturing team in Hook, Hampshire. This hands-on role involves assembling plant and machinery used within the construction industry. You will work as part of a skilled team, building equipment to meet weekly production targets whilst upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.
This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy practical work, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced production environment. Forklift experience is essential, as material handling and vehicle loading are key components of the role.
We welcome applications from individuals currently employed in engineering workshops, manufacturing environments, fabrication shops, construction equipment suppliers, or similar mechanical assembly roles seeking a stable, long-term opportunity.

Role Overview
Role
The role involves regular forklift operation to move materials around the yard and workshop, as well as loading vehicles for delivery. You will be operating equipment such as:
- 3-tonne JCB counterbalance forklift
- 8-tonne Combi-Lift (training provided)
Experience working in busy yards or warehouse environments is highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical and non-mechanical plant and machinery for the construction sector
- Fit components, materials and parts to equipment with precision
- Carry out basic hydraulic fitting and assembly tasks
- Support basic electrical work as required
- Maintain a clean, organised workshop and warehouse environment
- Load vehicles and move materials safely using forklift trucks
- Collaborate effectively with the wider team to meet weekly production schedules
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues promptly
- Adhere strictly to all company health and safety policies and procedures
You will be on your feet throughout the day, working closely with colleagues to ensure production targets are consistently met.
