Location: Sunderland, North East (UK) Job Type: Temporary / Ongoing Salary: £13.32 per hour (with staged pay rises)
My client is looking for Assembly Operatives with electrical and mechanical assembly experience to join a temporary but ongoing role in an innovative, established business. Immediate start available.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, assembling precise components including water pumps, PCBs, and wiring connections. This role requires a highly detail-oriented approach, strong teamwork, and the ability to follow engineering standards.

- Assembly & Wiring
- Use of hand and power tools to construct and install components
- Assembling various sized water pumps with precision

Technical Skills
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Familiarity with PCB (Printed Circuit Board) assembly
- Proper use of tools while maintaining quality assurance standards

Operational Excellence
- Working to targets and deadlines in a time-sensitive production environment
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and standardised procedures
- Continuous attention to detail and safety compliance
Requirements
- Proven experience in electrical and mechanical assembly, including:
- Precisely configured wiring and soldering
- Managing production assembly lines
- Problem-solving for assembly discrepancies
- Ability to work consistently under given timelines
- Strong working knowledge of quality standards and testing procedures

- Competitive hourly rate: £13.32/hour (with future pay stages)
- Hourly schedule:
- Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 15:00
- Friday: 08:00 - 13:00
- Paid leave: 25 days per year, increasing annually
