At L3Harris Farnborough, we specialise in secure communication systems for the military, international forces, and commercial customers—including night vision goggles, radar systems, and tactical radios. Our Falcon family of radios, deployed in the UK Armed Forces' Bowman tactical C4I system, enables unmatched command-and-control capabilities through voice, data, video, and crossbanding.
We are transforming mission communications (via Morpheus), and we need dedicated operators to join our team.

Responsibilities
The Assembly Operator will be responsible for:
- Operating Automated Test Equipment (ATE) to evaluate product integrity
- Managing electronic systems repair tracking and maintaining accurate records
- Ensuring constructed assemblies meet quality standards, consulting with supervisors or Manufacturing Engineers as needed
- Collaborating with team members using lean manufacturing practices to optimise process efficiency
- Adhering to daily production targets, aligning with customer requirements
- Following definitive processes and work instructions while supporting supervisors in fulfilling operational demands

Requirements & Skills
Essential Skills & Experience
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team
- Interest in soldering, repair, or rework activities
- Interest in manufacturing and repair principles
Desirable (but not essential)
- Previously trained or experienced in soldering
- Work to IPC7711/7721 standards (with potential in-house training)
- Experience in repair or rework of electronic components
- Familiarity with 5S+1 (Workplace Organisation & Maintenance) principles
- Continuous improvement mindset
Important Requirements
Due to the sensitive nature of our work, many roles require:
- UK nationality
- Ability to obtain security clearance at the required level
- Confirmation of UK ‘Right to Work’ status
- Successful government background checks
