Assembly Technician – Basingstoke

About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assembly Technician to join Blatchford’s team at their head office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, service, and repair electrical/mechanical components, including pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Determine the necessary action when a product is returned to the company.
- Follow drawings and work instructions for assembly tasks.
- Perform self-inspection and testing throughout the process.
- Conduct final inspection of finished goods with strict adherence to quality standards.
- Pick required parts and kits for tasks.
- Source spare parts for repair technicians as needed.
- Create and issue returns requests for defective products, determining disposition (customer return, stock return, service stock, or scrappage).
- Dispose of products and parts deemed unserviceable.

Requirements
Applicants doit meet the following key skills and experiences:
- Education: GCSEs Grade C or above in Maths and English.
- Computer proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office or equivalent software.
- Electronic/electro-mechanical experience: Knowledge of assembly or servicing in this field.
- Communication skills:
- Ability to articulate technical details effectively.
- Confidence in discussions with NPD Engineers and customers/internally.
- Experience communicating across diverse levels.
- Technical expertise:
- Strong understanding of electro-mechanical and hydro-pneumatic assemblies.
- Proven track record for quality and accuracy.
- Soft skills:
- Behaviours like teamwork and a collaborative mindset.
