What You Will Do
- Day to day supervision of staff.
- In conjunction with other Section Leaders, create Daily/ Weekly plans that deliver the business requirements for the area.
- Drive the performance of the team to achieve the defined plan.
- Display and ensure all team members always display TE’s core values and behaviours.
- Hold and record regular effective one-to-ones with team members.
- Carry out end of year appraisals and goal setting in line with TE policy.
- Ensure that your own and the team's work is finished on time and to the correct standard.
- To contribute to achieving departmental targets – specifically 'Delivery on Time' and efficiency and Earned Hours.
- When required to be part of the team to assist with quality investigations and reviews to determine true root cause of defects, using appropriate tools and methodologies.
- Identify development needs within the area, and with the support of the Supervisor, organise and plan training solutions accordingly.
- Host team reviews and manage team communication boards, to include reporting to supervisor.
- To be accountable for the team’s Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets, communicate these with the team members, and feedback with potential solutions when not on target.
- Ensure company procedures and policies are upheld.
- To ensure health and safety regulations as laid down in company procedures and Government legislation are adhered to.
- To deputise in the absence of supervision.
- To support other teams when required.
- Liaise with other departments and managers when required.
- Liaise with the maintenance department regarding machine breakdowns and repairs.
- When required, to carry out/be part of a team on TEOA/KAISAN activities.
- Ensure 5S is maintained to the standards required.
- To carry out any other reasonable tasks as may be requested from time to time.
- To adopt and sustain a flexible and proactive approach in all departmental work activities.
- To work to the departmental fundamental rules.
- To ensure a positive attitude and good team working is encouraged and supported.

- Proven experience in leading a team.
- Strong general education with a high level of achievement.
- Ability to work methodically and independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in computer skills; familiarity with Excel and SAP is advantageous.
