Assembly Technicians

Location: Leamington Spa

Contract: Ongoing

Hours: 37.5hpw, Rotating weekly shifts

Average Pay Rate: A GBP 14.52 per hour

We're recruiting Assembly Technicians to join a well-established engineering business supplying high-quality products to some of the world's most recognised automotive manufacturers. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a modern manufacturing environment while working as part of a friendly and dedicated team.

The Role

Responsibilities

As an Assembly Technician, you'll play an important role in the production process, ensuring components are assembled, tested and prepared to the highest quality standards. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Assembling, fitting and testing components.
  • Inspecting parts for damage or defects and completing production paperwork.
  • Setting up and operating crimping machines, etchers, and testing equipment.
  • Picking and packing finished products ready for dispatch.
  • Working to production schedules and achieving daily targets.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment.
  • Working independently while contributing positively within a team.

The Successful Assembly Technician Will Have

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Assembly, fitting, or quality inspection experience.
  • The ability to read engineering drawings.
  • A flexible approach with a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to carry out manual handling duties.

Working Hours And Pay Rate

This is a full-time opportunity, 37.5 hrs working Monday to Friday with rotating weekly shifts and overtime as required.

  • Week 1: 06:00 - 14:00 Monday to Thursday and 06:00 - 12:10 on Friday - A GBP 13.20 p/h
  • Week 2: 14:00 - 22:00 Monday to Thursday and 12:10 - 18:20 on Friday - A GBP 15.84 p/h

As the shifts are weekly rotating, the pay rate averages out at A GBP 14.52 per hour.
