Job Title: Assembly Technician Location: Proseal UK JBT Marel is a leading global technology solutions provider to high-value segments of the food processing and air transportation industries. We have offices in more than 25 plus countries all over the world and we are growing both organically and by acquisitions and we are continuously looking for new employees that want to grow with us! JBTM currently has a great opportunity for an Assembly Fitter to join the Proseal team just south of Manchester. Proseal UK Ltd is a company that designs and manufactures high quality tray sealing and conveying systems for the food industry and has manufacturing facilities in the UK, North America, and Australia. Having been established for 25 years, demand for the Proseal product is growing and we are responsible for developing many plastic-based alternatives for preserving the life of and carrying food safely. Formed in 1998, Proseal has not only become the leading manufacturer of tray sealing machinery and tooling in the UK but is now also recognised as a major force internationally with manufacturing facilities in United states and Australia along with offices in Ireland, Holland, Spain, Canada, South America, and Dubai. Shift Pattern/Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with a 30 minutes unpaid lunch break each day and two paid 15 minutes per day. A total of 40 hours per week. Main Responsibilities: Ensure assembly and build quality is of the highest possible standard. Ensure machinery is fully PDI’d and tested prior to delivery. Attending site for machine commissioning and breakdowns. Being self-disciplined, proactive, and hard working. High degree of interpersonal skills and communication skills. Working to deadlines and delivery dates. Ensure production instructions and quality standards are met/exceeded. Escalate any build anomalies to relevant persons. On-site commissioning and customer training. Experience: Principally be responsible for the mechanical assembly of all sub and main assemblies. Be able to read and understand engineering drawings and pneumatic circuits. Manage and keep your electronic parts lists accurate. Can carry out mechanical surveys, repairs, and servicing of Proseal equipment. General engineering, marking out, drilling, and tapping. Carry out work on-site, or off-site as requested and agreed. Qualification: Time served with C&G or modern apprenticeship.
