** Assembly Technician – Bolton Site**
About the Role
Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, is recruiting for an Assembly Technician to join their shop floor team. The role will involve supporting assemblages of aerospace filtration products.

Key Responsibilities
- Building and stripping simple and complex filtration units using technical assembly techniques
- Assembling, testing, and inspecting a range of mechanical products and final-unit instruments using diagnostic tools and methodologies
- Interpreting and applying assembly drawings and engineering specifications
- Working in a high-performance production environment to meet business deadlines and contractual customer expectations
- Ensuring compliance with:
- Legislation
- Company policies (including health and safety, data protection, equal opportunities, and quality assurance)
- Quality standards for final inspection and product release
- Utilising test equipment and diagnostic tools with precision and accuracy

About You
Ontic seeks candidates who will thrive in their culture of recognition, empowerment, and high performance. Key requirements include:
- The ability to safely, responsibly, and compliantly operate various tools and equipment
- Working knowledge of measurement tools, such as vernier calipers and micrometers
- Experience in aerospace or regulated industries is advantageous (though not essential)
- Technical aptitude, including interpreting technical drawings and specifications
Personality & Skills
- Strong PC literacy (must be comfortable in office environments alongside shop floor work)
- Experience in high-performance cultures, with a track record of meeting tight deadlines
- Exceptional hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for assembly tasks
- Passionate about continuous improvement, innovation, and growth
