Location: Haverhill, Suffolk

Pay: £12.71 p/hour + Shift Allowance (£14.24+ p/hour)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract: Temporary Ongoing (with potential for permanent opportunities)

We are currently recruiting for Assembly Technicians to join a busy manufacturing business in Haverhill due to continued growth. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with assembly or production experience looking to join a clean, modern working environment with full training provided.

This role involves assembling small, high-quality components within a clean room environment. Previous fibre optic assembly experience would be advantageous, but candidates with precision assembly, electronics, or production line experience are encouraged to apply.

Pay & Hours

  • £12.71 p/hour
  • Shift allowance available, increasing pay to £14.24+ p/hour
  • Rotating shifts:
    • 06:00 - 14:00
    • 14:00 - 22:00
  • Part-time late shifts also available, e.g. 16:00 - 22:00
  • Saturday overtime available, 06:00 - 14:00

Temporary ongoing position with potential for permanent opportunities

Assembly Technician Duties

  • Assembling fibre optic cables and small precision components
  • Working from technical drawings, assembly instructions, and work orders
  • Using hand tools and small assembly equipment
  • Carrying out detailed assembly work with a high level of accuracy
  • Inspecting completed assemblies to ensure quality standards are met
  • Working within a clean room environment
  • Following COSHH, health & safety, and quality procedures at all times
  • Supporting the production team to meet customer deadlines

What We're Looking For

  • Previous small component assembly or production experience
  • Fibre optic assembly experience would be advantageous but not essential
  • Experience working on production lines or precision assembly work
  • Good attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Comfortable using hand tools
  • Reliable with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Open to both experienced and junior candidates with the right attitude
