This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in guiding, supporting, and assessing candidates as they develop their skills within fabrication and/or welding disciplines.
We're looking for someone with a strong understanding of current industry practices, particularly in relation to vocational qualifications and quality frameworks. If you're passionate about developing others and want to make a real impact in a collaborative environment, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver guidance and support to candidates in compiling and presenting a comprehensive portfolio of evidence that adheres to the vocational qualification's performance criteria and evidence requirements.
- Conduct fair, safe, and reliable assessments of candidates' skills and knowledge in their respective workplaces.
- Maintain excellent communication and IT skills to effectively manage interactions and documentation.
- Exhibit a strong passion for professional discipline, with an ability to work under tight deadlines and independently manage workload.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
