We’re looking for an Asset Coordinator who enjoys solving difficult technical challenges and wants their work to have real operational impact.

What You’ll Do

As an Asset Coordinator, you will have the passion to work with teams to implement best practices across the organisation and will have the knowledge and experience to fulfil the following requirements:

  • Follow the documented processes for Asset and Configuration Management within the organisation utilising existing tools based on industry standard methodologies.
  • Be responsible for Asset Tracking: Monitor and manage the entire lifecycle of IT assets, from procurement through to disposal and closedown, ensuring accurate tracking and recording of asset details through the asset management system.
  • Manage the asset database/inventory to ensure accuracy, consistency and integrity of information.
  • Gather and maintain essential information such as asset location, asset quantities, identifiers (e.g. serial numbers) and audit status.
  • Management of the storeroom, goods in and disposal.
  • Support the Service Asset & Configuration Manager in updating policies and processes.
  • Audit/manage the assets for programmes, projects and services.

  • Managing and overseeing the full lifecycle of IT assets, from procurement and deployment through to retirement and disposal, ensuring all assets are accurately tracked and maintained within the asset management system.
  • Maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date asset records, including locations, quantities, serial numbers, ownership details, and audit status.
  • Taking responsibility for storeroom operations, including goods receipt, inventory control, stock management, and the secure disposal of IT equipment.

Desirable experience

  • Ability to coach and support colleagues on asset management processes and procedures, promoting consistency and best practice across the organisation.
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Intune, and Jira Asset Management.
  • Previous experience within a Defence environment or knowledge of ITIL Service Asset & Configuration Management (SACM) principles would be advantageous.
