Job Purpose

The Asset Information Support Officer (Condition Data) plays a vital role in supporting the management and assurance of information used to understand the health and performance of assets across the electricity transmission network.

You'll help maintain and assure critical datasets including condition monitoring information, oil sampling results, SF6 emissions records and inspection data. These datasets provide valuable insight into asset condition and support decisions that help keep the network safe, reliable and resilient.

This is far more than a data administration role. Your work will provide trusted information that supports engineering decision-making, environmental reporting, regulatory obligations and asset risk management. By ensuring asset condition data is accurate, complete and traceable, you'll contribute directly to the effective management of nationally important infrastructure and support our journey towards a cleaner energy future.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and maintain asset condition data across a range of systems, including condition monitoring outputs, oil sampling results, SF6 emissions records and inspection information.
  • Carry out validation and verification checks to ensure information is accurate, complete, timely and traceable.
  • Maintain clear audit trails and supporting evidence to demonstrate compliance, data integrity and governance requirements.
  • Support regulatory, environmental and internal reporting through effective information management and data assurance processes.
  • Apply established information governance standards, controls and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Investigate data quality issues, identify trends and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Produce reports, dashboards and performance metrics that demonstrate data quality, completeness and process performance.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, operational teams, technical specialists, laboratories and environmental stakeholders to ensure information is managed effectively.
  • Support audits, assurance reviews and information requests by providing accurate data and supporting evidence.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
