ASSET DATA & INFORMATION MANAGER
Contract: Government
Location: Birmingham (B37 7YN)
Hours of work: 40 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent
We are seeking an experienced Asset Data & Information Manager to lead the governance and continual improvement of asset data within CMMS/CAFM systems, ensuring a controlled, risk-based, and auditable environment.
This role is pivotal in maintaining an accurate asset register that reflects the estate portfolio and supports effective maintenance and lifecycle management.
Job Description
We are looking for a strategic and detail-oriented leader who can drive data integrity, governance, and reporting excellence, while leading a dedicated asset data team.
You will play a key role in enabling informed decision-making by delivering high-quality insights and embedding robust data quality, assurance, and continuous improvement practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and chair asset data governance, technical, and operational forums to ensure effective decision-making, control, and compliance.
- Manage and control asset data changes within CMMS/CAFM systems, ensuring adherence to governance, change control, and audit requirements.
- Oversee validation and implementation of asset changes, ensuring alignment with maintenance standards and statutory requirements.
- Own the integrity and accuracy of the asset register, ensuring alignment to asset type, condition, and lifecycle.
- Manage reconciliation and dependency checks across systems to maintain consistency and completeness of asset records.
- Oversee UAT processes for asset changes, ensuring auditable evidence supports compliance requirements.
- Lead development of dashboards and reporting to provide visibility of data quality, risks, and compliance performance.
- Drive cross-functional coordination with asset, engineering, compliance, and operational stakeholders to enable controlled delivery.

About You
- Proven leadership experience within asset management or maintenance environments, with strong knowledge of PPM and asset data governance.
- Experience governing asset data changes within CMMS/CAFM/EAM systems, ensuring compliant and auditable delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams managing high-volume, structured data, maintaining accuracy and audit readiness.
- Strong stakeholder leadership skills, with the ability to influence technical, operational, and governance functions.
- Strategic and risk-aware mindset, with a focus on driving a quality-led, continuous improvement culture.
