Contract: Technical Location: Remote role (with occasional travel to office) Hours of work: 40 Contract Type: Permanent
We are seeking an experienced Asset Data Manager to ensure the organisation’s asset information is accurate, consistent, and effectively structured across asset registers and CAFM systems.
This role is central to verifying the reliability of survey data, maintaining high-quality asset information, and supporting compliant, effective facilities and asset management.
Job Description
We are looking for someone who can take the lead on asset-data governance, quality assurance, and structured data standards.
The postholder will play a key role in ensuring asset information supports:
- Strategic decision-making
- Regulatory compliance
- Lifecycle planning
- Optimised asset-performance outcomes
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the setup and maintenance of asset data models, structures, and governance processes.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and standards-aligned asset records, including importing, updating, and validating data.
- Conduct regular data-quality checks and implement corrective actions to ensure consistency and reliability.
- Review survey data, provide feedback, and ensure outputs meet required standards, naming conventions, and classification rules.
- Oversee and quality-check survey work, including condition, lifecycle, and compliance surveys, validating all details before system upload.
- Ensure the accurate application of Uniclass classifications and lead COBie data checking and assurance.
- Provide oversight and governance of CAFM and asset-management systems, ensuring accurate lifecycle, maintenance, and compliance information.
- Collaborate with operational, technical, and survey teams, providing training, guidance, and reporting on asset-data quality and survey performance.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Experience Requirements
- Experience managing asset registers and asset data.
- Experience using CAFM systems such as:
- IBM TRIRIGA
- MRI Maximo
- Concept
- Planon
- Archibus
- Survey experience, including data verification and review of asset or condition surveys.
- Strong data analysis and validation skills, including advanced Excel or data-management capability.
Technical Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of asset-management principles (ideal: experience with ISO 55000).
- Experience working in facilities-management or estates environments.
- Familiarity with Uniclass and COBie structured-data standards.
- Experience using reporting tools like Power BI.
Regulatory Compliance
- Experience managing statutory-compliance data and maintenance frameworks such as SFG20.

- Training or certification relating to:
- ISO 55001
- ISO 19650
- BIM (Building Information Modelling)
- Digital asset management
