Job Title: Asset Management SME / Delivery Lead
About the Role
The Programme and Project Partners (PPP) model, launched in 2019, is delivering a transformative pipeline of major infrastructure projects at Sellafield nuclear site to spearhead decommissioning and ensure a safer, cleaner future. The collaboration between KBR, Amentum, Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, Altrad, and Sellafield Ltd focuses on creating opportunities for people, supply chain, economy, and communities.
KBR’s nuclear team is at the core of the UK’s nuclear advancements, driving groundbreaking projects in new build, defence, and decommissioning. Location & Reporting
- Full-time, Office-Based in Cumbria/Cheshire (with frequent trips to client sites)
- Reports to: Head of Delivery or designated PPP Lead
Key Responsibilities
Core Duties
As the strategic delivery lead and Asset Management Subject Matter Expert (SME), your role will focus on integrating Sellafield’s configuration management tools to optimise productivity and asset lifecycle management. Key tasks include:
- Advise Sellafield on integrating configuration management tools to drive operational efficiency, safety, and cost savings.
- Oversee two active projects:
- Implementation of AVEVA AIM
- Adoption of Esri Utility Network Model
- Align deployed solutions with existing enterprise asset management systems while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, IT, and operational teams to establish consistent asset information governance and data standards.
- Drive adoption of best practices in asset management and digital transformation.
- Manage delivery risks, dependencies, and reporting within a highly regulated environment.
- Provide technical expertise in configuration and asset information management.
- Ensure full compliance with organisational standards, documentation, and project design artefacts.

Desirable Contributions
- Assist in shaping requirements and testing strategies, including:
- Non-Functional Testing (NFT)
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Champion continuous improvement of delivery methodologies and digital assets.
- Offer mentorship and guidance to project team members.
- Support cross-functional initiatives, including digital engineering and information management.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Essential Requirements
Education:
- Degree or equivalent qualification
Experience & Skills:
- In-depth expertise in configuration management principles, tools, and baseline governance.
- Proven leadership in complex technology/asset management projects as a Delivery Lead or SME.
- Strong knowledge of: ISO 55000 Asset Management Framework and/or Institutional Asset Management Standard (IAM 10-Box Capability Model).
- Hands-on experience with: AVEVA AIM and Esri ArcGIS Enterprise/Utility Network Model, including enterprise-level integration.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills across engineering, IT, and operations.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience
Education/Certification:
- Institute of Asset Management Certificate/Diploma or BSI BIM Asset Information Professional accreditation
Knowledge & Proven Abilities:
- Experience working in Sellafield or nuclear environments.
- Competence in:
- Digital engineering
- Information management (BIM and ISO19650)
- Asset lifecycle integration
- Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and systems integration.
- Mastery of data governance, data standards, and master data management.
- Exposure to Agile and DevOps methodologies in digital project delivery.
- Familiarity with operational readiness, testing, and service transition protocols.
- Strong working knowledge of geospatial data management and GIS systems.
