THE OPPORTUNITY – ASSET INTEGRITY COMPLIANCE & SYSTEMS SPECIALIST

The Compliance & Integrity Systems Specialist is responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the company's asset integrity management framework, ensuring compliance with UK regulatory requirements and industry standards. The role provides technical leadership in integrity management systems, Risk Based Inspection (RBI), digital solutions, and governance, driving consistency across business units while introducing innovative technologies and processes that improve safety, compliance, operational efficiency, and asset performance.

Duration: 2-year contract
Contract Type: PAYE
Day Rate: TBC

Spirit Energy currently have a non-contractual hybrid working arrangement for all office-based workers. 4 days must be worked in the office with compulsory days being Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The fourth day worked in-office (either Monday or Friday) is of the worker’s choosing but should be in keeping with what is most efficient and effective for their team. The office is open 5 days a week for full-time, in-office working if this is the contractor’s preference.

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the company's Asset Integrity Management System to ensure compliance with UK legislation, industry standards, and corporate requirements.
  • Lead the optimisation of Risk Based Inspection (RBI) programmes to maximise inspection effectiveness while maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Provide technical governance for integrity management processes, ensuring consistent application across all operated assets.
  • Manage and improve integrity management systems, data quality, and interfaces with business applications including SAP and Inspection Data Management Systems (IDMS).
  • Support digital transformation initiatives by implementing technologies that improve inspection execution, reporting, and asset integrity management.
  • Coordinate the review, development, and standardisation of integrity procedures, standards, and guidance documentation.
  • Ensure Integrity Reviews are completed in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements, providing technical approval where appropriate.
  • Develop, maintain, and report integrity performance indicators and dashboards to monitor compliance, risk, and programme performance.
  • Lead Management of Change activities relating to integrity systems, standards, and inspection methodologies.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging inspection technologies, including Non-Invasive Inspection (NII), advanced data analytics, and digital inspection solutions.
  • Represent the business within industry forums, joint industry projects, and regulatory working groups, ensuring industry developments are assessed and adopted where appropriate.
  • Provide technical guidance to asset integrity teams and collaborate with engineering, maintenance, operations, and digital functions to improve asset integrity performance.
  • Support asset integrity planning and budgeting through the provision of technical expertise and long-term integrity improvement initiatives.
  • Promote continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and best practice across the Asset Integrity function.
  • Support incident investigations and provide specialist asset integrity advice during operational issues and emergency response activities and duties where required.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, we are looking for:

  • Strong knowledge of UK offshore integrity legislation, regulatory compliance, and industry standards.
  • Demonstrable experience in Risk Based Inspection (RBI), asset integrity management, and inspection methodologies.
  • Experience managing integrity management systems, inspection databases (IDMS), and SAP interfaces.
  • Ability to analyse complex engineering and integrity data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Experience delivering digital improvement, system optimisation, and process standardisation across engineering functions.
  • Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline.
  • Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status (or working towards professional accreditation).
  • Relevant experience in asset integrity management may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications where appropriate.
