As an Asset Investment Senior Engineer, you'll play a central role in shaping asset strategies that influence hundreds of millions of pounds of investment, helping ensure our network remains safe, resilient and ready for the future.
This is a highly visible role with direct exposure to senior leaders and collaboration across Engineering, Network Operations, Energy System Operations, Capital Delivery, Finance and Operational Performance. You'll influence strategic decisions, build alignment across stakeholders and help shape the future direction of asset management within Cadent.
Looking for flexibility without losing connection? This hybrid role offers the best of both worlds, with office/home working patterns customisable to your needs. Travel to our Ansty Park office is required, but notice will be provided to enable you to make necessary travel plans. Speak to us during the application process to discuss in more detail.

What you’ll bring:
We're looking for a strategic thinker who can combine analysis, stakeholder engagement and decision-making to solve complex investment challenges.
You'll likely have experience in:
- Asset Management, Investment Planning, Risk Modelling or Infrastructure Strategy.
- Evaluating cost, risk and performance trade-offs within complex asset-based organisations.
- Experience with IFS Copperleaf Asset Investment Planning & Management tool or similar AIPM software.
- Influencing stakeholders across multiple disciplines and organisational levels.
- Communicating complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
Experience in utilities, infrastructure, engineering assets, asset data management or regulated industries would be advantageous but is not essential.
Qualifications
- Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
- Incorporated Engineer or equivalent professional qualification (desirable).
- Institute of Asset Managers qualifications (desirable).
