WE ARE LANDSEC

We identify and shape places that create opportunity, enhance quality of life, and bring joy to the people connected to them.

This is how we’ve created the UK’s leading portfolio of urban places and one of the largest real estate companies in Europe.

Our £10 billion portfolio is built around premium workplaces, the country’s pre-eminent retail platform, and a residential pipeline that will redefine urban life.

We’ve honed this ability over 80 years. Spotting the opportunities, building the partnerships, and continually adapting to shape the places that meet the needs of a changing world.

Places where life happens. Where businesses grow. And where cities are defined.

LOCATION

80 Victoria Street; on site across the UK when required

THE ROLE

To asset manage one or more assets within one of our retail portfolio clusters (i.e. Shopping Centres, Outlets or Leisure parks). Effectively collaborate with key stakeholders internally and externally to shape plans that deliver on the needs of Guests and Brand Partners whilst also driving sustained income and investment value performance. Our aspirations are to optimise the value of our retail and leisure ownerships by creating a compelling and engaging offer for both Guests and Brand Partners through the necessary level of investment, active asset management and the co-ordination of different functions within Landsec. The success of this role is contingent on this collaboration.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • To manage the planning and P&L performance for an asset or a group of assets; including assessing performance potential in the short, medium and long term, identifying key risks and opportunities and recommending future asset and occupational strategies.

  • You will be required to coordinate and work collaboratively with a number of other functions, including leasing, operations, consumer and development.

  • As well as driving sustainable long-term income growth across the asset(s), you will also have several other key accountabilities, including:

    • To develop asset business plans, based on data and insight, that will maximise long term financial performance. Support the Asset Director to secure business plan approval from both senior internal and external stakeholders.
    • In depth involvement in projects such as master planning and redevelopment, ensuring that both commercial rigour and guest experience enhancement are applied to decision-making.
    • Work with the Leasing and Legal teams to deliver timely leasing activity that aligns with the asset strategy and maximises financial performance, in line with company governance frameworks.
    • Work with the Operations and Consumer teams to support excellent guest experience execution.
    • Ensure that relevant systems, processes and records are up to date and accurate. Working collaboratively with finance teams to produce accurate and insightful business plans, budgets, performance data and other relevant financial information.
    • Deliver asset P&L’s that target sustainable income growth whilst incorporating relevant and compelling brand and guest propositions.
    • To provide the necessary direction to colleagues and external consultants to ensure that the strategic plan is delivered. This requires effective translation into the relevant actions and activities required to maximise the performance of the asset, reflecting the market and delivering maximum value to shareholders.
    • Responsibility for providing up to date and accurate information to external valuers and analysis of outputs.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
