Asset Management Support - Estates Team

The University is seeking applicants with an interest in asset management—this is an exciting opportunity to join a team of existing Estates professionals in delivering outstanding maintenance, building alterations, and improvement projects.

The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting the Estates team in delivering maintenance/inspection regimes and supporting the management of assets across our campuses, including opportunities to be involved and assist with:

  • Developing the asset lifecycle programme
  • Ensuring investment is value for money and focused on the right areas

The University has a diverse mix of buildings, ranging in age, and this role will play a key role in supporting the development of our Estate by improving performance of existing installations. Each day presents a changing challenge based on the complex range of installations and systems we manage.


About You

We are looking for someone with experience in Facilities Management, ideally with a maintenance bias. Essential experience includes:

  • Managing assets or setting up maintenance regimes
  • Preparing process maps or markups for external contractors or internal stakeholders

Key skills required:

  • Strong verbal and written communication—capable of interpreting and explaining complex information
  • Ability to work across multiple campuses and construction sites, including plant areas
  • Time management to balance varied, conflicting demands efficiently

This role involves supporting the entire Estates portfolio for maintenance and asset management, including:

  • Fire Systems
  • HVAC Systems
  • Cross-departmental collaboration with engineers, surveyors, and other specialists

Location & Commitment

This permanent, full-time role is primarily based at our Frenchay Campus, with the latest facilities and resources available. However, occasional travel to other campuses may be required.

This post is available on a job share basis for applicants wishing to work part-time (minimum 3 days per week for full-time applicants, pro-rata for job sharing).
