Asset Officer
Asset Management & Estates Support Officer
The University is seeking applicants with an interest in asset management. Join an exciting team delivering outstanding maintenance, building alterations, and improvement projects across our campuses.
Key Role Overview
The successful candidate will assist the Estates team in delivering:
- Maintenance and inspection regimes
- Asset management across campuses
- Development of an asset lifecycle programme
- Ensuring value-for-money investment in critical areas
Our diverse campuses feature buildings of varying ages and systems. Your role will focus on improving performance of existing installations—no two days will be the same. This is an opportunity to engage with everything from fire systems to HVAC systems, collaborative with engineers and surveyors.
About You
The University is looking for Experts or experienced professionals in Facilities Management, ideally with a maintenance focus. Preferable experience includes:
- Managing asset portfolios
- Setting up or supporting maintenance regimes
- Process mapping/annotations for contractors or stakeholders

Essential Requirements
- Experience in Facilities Management (preferably with asset maintenance bias)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain technical details
- Ability to deliver deadlines – this role may involve site visits, plant areas, and travelling between campuses.
- Proven time management to balance multiple demands
Location & Working Arrangements
- Primary base: UWE Bristol Frenchay campus
- Occasional Campus & Site Visits: Meeting space at other campuses and active sites required
This is a full-time, permanent post, and can be job-shared on a part-time basis (3+ days/week).
