Job overview
We are seeking an innovative and forward-thinking Asset and Smart Buildings Manager to lead the strategic management of the Trust’s physical assets and next generation smart building technologies, supporting the delivery of the New Hospital Programme (NHP).
This is a pivotal senior role, driving the performance, integrity and compliance of our estate throughout its entire lifecycle, and ensuring our buildings support safe, efficient and high quality patient care.
Main duties of the job
You will oversee the full spectrum of asset and building technology management from acquisition and maintenance to performance monitoring and end of life planning, aligning all activity to the Trust’s clinical and operational priorities.

With responsibility for Trust wide asset registers covering buildings, plant, equipment and digital infrastructure, you’ll ensure our estate remains resilient, compliant and future ready.
You will develop and implement lifecycle strategies, backlog programmes and PPM schedules, as well as manage minor works, reactive repairs and the maintenance of fabric, mechanical and electrical systems. A key part of the role is ensuring full statutory and technical compliance, including HTMs/HBNs, coordinating audits and inspections, maintaining test records, and leading on asset risk management and estates business continuity.
