About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our EU Reporting team. This role will support the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple European entities, providing key support in the preparation of management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, cashflow forecasting, and month-end reporting activities. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across the European Finance function to ensure reporting is completed accurately and in accordance with Group deadlines. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual studying towards a professional accounting qualification and looking to develop a career in management accounting and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Analyse financial performance and investigate variances.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly reporting packs.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
- Calculate and monitor depreciation and amortisation charges.
- Support cashflow forecasting.
- Perform intercompany reconciliations.
- Assist with year-end audit requirements.
- Work collaboratively with in-country finance teams.
- Support finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure reporting outputs are completed accurately and on time.
- Support ad hoc projects and analysis.

Skills, Experience & Knowledge
Essential
- Studying towards ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good Excel skills.
- Strong communication skills.
Desirable
- Previous finance/accounting experience.
- Month-end close and reconciliations experience.
- Basic knowledge of fixed assets, depreciation, and management accounting principles.
